Visit Valentia Island Lighthouse

One of the Great Lighthouses of Ireland, Valentia Island Lighthouse @ Cromwell Point was opened to the public, after many years of being closed, in 2013. In 2016 the Valentia Island Lighthouse Tea rooms opened and visitors now sit in what was the Lightkeeper’s kitchen or outside on the patio picnic area enjoying harbour views.

We hope to see many more people enjoying the experience of being in the Lighthouse; accessing the tower, looking out on to  the stunning views of The Blasket Islands, Beginis Island  and the Wild Atlantic Way to contemplate and experience the isolated and challenging life of a Lighthouse Keeper.
